Western Foods at IFT FIRST: An Environment for Collaboration and Innovation

We were pleased to attend this year’s IFT FIRST event, where we had the opportunity to meet and collaborate with other leaders in the food industry. It was a valuable experience to exchange ideas and explore custom applications and solutions, including using rice, rice flour, and rice extrusions as a vehicle for reducing and controlling the breakdown of sugars.

 

 

Western Foods Announcement

One key moment for us was announcing our new partnership with Phynova. This collaboration will allow us to bring low-GI, plant-based nutrition to the market through our rice, rice flour, and rice extrusions such as crisps. Combining Phynova’s Reducose™ technology with our high-quality rice products creates opportunities to deliver lower-glycemic ingredients for food manufacturers looking to create healthier options.
